As an Independent Scentsy Consultant, you are an independent business owner authorized to sell Scentsy products for a commission. You have the freedom to control when and where you work your business. You can increase your commission by selling more products and building a team to earn bonuses on products sold by your team members.

Most Scentsy Consultants join because they love the products; they stay because they fall in love with the community. From there, the reasons continue to grow — from earning extra income, to the flexibility of working when and where they want, to wanting to earn an upcoming incentive trip.
Click “Join” at the top of your Consultant’s Personal Website (PWS), select your Starter Kit and follow the steps to enroll. Or, host a party and earn Host Rewards that can be used toward the purchase of a Host-Exclusive Starter Kit with our Earn a Kit option. You will need a debit card, credit card or one of our accepted digital payment methods to pay for your Starter Kit.
You only need to pay the current price of the Starter Kit (plus local tax and shipping) to join Scentsy.
Our traditional Starter Kit includes everything you need to start your Scentsy business: a best-selling warmer, scented wax testers, catalogs, order forms, three months of your own PWS, product samples and more. (Contents may vary.)
Our traditional Starter Kit is $99 plus local tax and shipping. Or you can host a party and apply your earned product credit toward a Host-Exclusive Starter Kit to become a Scentsy Consultant.
You must be the legal age or age of majority in your country of residence at the time of enrollment. You must also be a legal resident of the country where you want to enroll and have a valid personal identification number (such as a Social Security number or Employee Identification Number). And you must accept the Independent Consultant Agreement (ICA) and purchase a Starter Kit. (North Dakota residents are not required to purchase a Starter Kit to join.)
Commission is the compensation you earn for your personal sales of Scentsy’s commissionable products. Scentsy’s Compensation Plan
Consultants earn 20% on the first 1,000 points in Personal Retail Volume (PRV) and up to 25% on PRV after that, plus up to a 9% bonus on Personal Wholesale Volume (PWV) based on rank, and a 5% sales award when sales exceed 2,500 points in PRV in any given month. In addition to the commission you earn on your sales, you can earn multiple bonuses based on your team’s performance. Scentsy’s Compensation Plan
PRV stands for Personal Retail Volume, and it is the global point value of commissionable products you sell and how Consultants are paid commissions. All products are assigned a PRV point value, which is then converted to local currency using a peg rate specific to each country.
To be considered “active,” you must generate sales resulting in 250 points or more in PRV in a single month. The 250 points in PRV can come from individual customer orders, party orders or online orders made through your PWS. To keep your account current, you must be active at least once in a consecutive 12-month period. If you sponsor any Consultants, you must be active at least once in a consecutive four-month period to retain your downline.
It’s up to you. As a Scentsy Consultant, the more you work your business, the more you can earn. Scentsy’s Compensation Plan To see what Consultants earned on average, please see the Income Disclosure Statement.
All payments from Consultants to Scentsy must be made via credit card, debit card, through your Consultant Pay Portal, or through payment methods specific to your country. Ask your sponsor for more details. Scentsy does not accept cash, money orders or checks. However, you are welcome to accept payment from your customers in whatever form you choose. If a customer pays with a check, it must be made out to you as the Consultant.
Scentsy is built off the party plan. You can hold in-home parties, basket parties, open houses or online parties, and you may also take orders through your PWS.
All current Consultants worldwide are eligible to earn incentives, including trips and other prizes, by meeting specific activity requirements. Ready for your next adventure? Ask your Consultant or Sponsor to learn more about the requirements to earn the current incentive trip.
No. However, Consultants who sponsor new team members tend to earn more PRV over time and are about 60% more likely to stay with Scentsy long term!
Former Consultants are always encouraged to apply for an account reinstatement. Please note that there’s a minimum waiting period of three months if your account was cancelled for inactivity or six months if your account was cancelled for any other reason. Check out Workstation Lite to see your reinstatement eligibility date. Reinstated Consultants have the option to purchase a Reinstatement Kit to restart their business.
Scentsy is a party plan company, which is characterized by a social event — typically in a home, in person or online — where independent Consultants promote the products of their choosing within Scentsy’s product lineup. The party plan model gives Consultants the advantage of being able to help multiple customers experience the products at one time.
We always recommend first reaching out to your Sponsor or team — they’re such a valuable resource! And the home office provides numerous training opportunities and online tools. While we don’t offer a traditional discount, Scentsy Consultants are welcome to host their own Scentsy parties and take advantage of our generous Host Rewards to get free and half-price products.
