Scentsy Story
I'm Karli, a Vancouver, WA native. My husband, James, and I have two children (one in high school and one in college) and four rescue animals (two dogs and two bunnies). I adore all animals, but dogs really have my heart. I spent years fostering dogs and hope to get back to it someday. ✦ I'm a Disnerd, Potterhead, Elvis fan, coffee enthusiast, bookish old soul, and bargain hunter. I love getting lost in a good book (especially historical fiction), hunting for treasures while thrifting or antiquing, and surrounding myself with thoughtfully chosen pieces that have a little story behind them. I think that's one of the reasons I've always loved Scentsy as well. There’s something special about finding a warmer that doubles as a beautiful piece of decor, fits your vibe, feels right at home in your space, and happens to melt wax, too. ✦ I partnered with Scentsy over 16 years ago, which is wild to think about. Why did I start, and why am I still here? Rewind to January 2010. I honestly just wanted to get some money back on my own purchases. I had zero clue then where this could take me or how it would change me. And somehow, in those 16 years, I've traveled the world, made lifelong friendships, and gained a confidence in myself I never expected, all by sharing products I genuinely love. ✦ My family has always come first, and that's a huge part of why I'm still here. I've been able to adapt my business and the hours I put into it to fit whatever season of life we're in. These days, I work my business on a smaller scale, earning extra money to spoil my family, help with college expenses, and enjoy the freedom to make it work around our lives. My kids have grown up watching me build something that brings me so much joy and pride. They've seen the hard work, the quiet successes and frustrations, and the times when things didn't go as planned, but they've also watched me keep going. They've seen the rewards of hard work, not just for our family, but in the lives of the people I've been able to help along the way. “Give more than you take” is a huge part of the Scentsy culture, and it's something my kids have heard from me since before they could even talk. ✦ Being able to use my business to give back to my community through fundraisers is one of the things I'm most proud of.
